One in every seven people in the world is living with some form of disability. According to WHO, 110 million people need a wheelchair with specific disabilities while only 5- 10% have access to one. Bangladesh is a South-Asian country having almost 19 Million people with disabilities. Around 20% of those are live in disaster-prone southern districts mentionable; Satkhira, Khulna, Bagerhat, Vola, Jhalakathi, Pirojpur, Patuakhali and Jashore. Various diseases, random accidents and born paralyzed made thousands of adults and children fond of a wheelchair. But, most of the families are unable to afford a wheelchair to the concerned member due to weak socio-economic conditions. VHANI foundation introduces a planning through a project in those areas to help the people get necessity travel.
